Sacrofata: The Capital of Extasis

Sacrofata is the largest city in all of Extasis. The city has served as the capital of the country ever since the destruction of the previous capital. Situated at the top of a mighty peak, the odds of an assault hitting the new capital are practically zero. The president of Extasis, Nero Gaines, lives in the mansion that towers over the city’s center. The cit of Sacrofata can be seen from almost anywhere in Extasis.

Litus: The Sea’s Gate

Litus is the only port town in all of Extasis due to the fear Extasians have towards “outlanders”. Litus is the smallest town in all Extasis because it is the closest town to the feared continent known as Elisi. Set inside a small valley with only two paths leading to the rest of Extasis, it’s difficult to pass into or out of town unseen. Despite its status as a port town, only one ship leaves Litus’ shipyard each year, though nobody wants to be on board.

Meet the Characters: Laura Vedos

Laura Vedos was a 21 when she joined ALPHA, the Extasian military. At 25 years old Laura became an ALPHA colonel. At that age, Laura not only became the second female to ever achieve the rank of colonel, she also became the youngest to ever achieve that rank. Unfortunately, three years after achieving these impressive accolades, Laura was discharged from the ALPHA corps. How and why did this happen? Only time will tell.

Macul: The City of Light

Macul is the second largest city in all of Extasis after Sacrofata, the capital of Extasis. Traditionally, Macul is known as the City of Light. However it also proudly bears the name “The City of Entertainment” and “The City of Endless Revelry”. Not much gets done in Macul, but the people that live there are always in a state of bliss. If you’re ever in need of a vacation, Macul is the one and only destination you could ever want.

Welcome to the World of Extasis

Hello and welcome to the very first publishing of The Extasian Times. “What is The Extasian Times?” I can hear you asking now. Put simply, this is the one and only source for all breaking news in the country of Extasis. “What’s Extasis?” you ask. Well you’re full of questions today, but that’s no problem at all. Curiosity may have killed the cat, but it’s also the mother of invention. Feel free to make yourself comfortable, grab a cup of tea, or coffee, or whatever you’d prefer and I’ll shed some light on this shining country of ours.

Comfortable? Good! Let me begin by saying I’m not surprised you haven’t heard of Extasis. I’d be more surprised if you did know about it since it’s approximately 224 light-years away from your “Earth”. Right now you’re on a planet we call Domaius. Currently we’re the best civilization on all of Domaius. We’re the wealthiest, the most educated, and the happiest. I suppose I should mention we’re also the only civilization on Domaius. I mean, there used to be that horrid place known as Elisi, or the Dark Continent as we called it. They’re all gone now though. No natives in sight that’s for sure. Nasty business, at least that’s what I hear. That was long in the past at least. Nothing that atrocious happens anymore .

Elisi isn’t completely unpopulated now however. Sometimes we send our prisoners there, can’t have them mucking up our perfect society after all. It’s really for the best I’m sure, even though they probably don’t live that long. Too many monsters on that godforsaken land for anyone to survive long, that’s certain. But enough about that terrible land! You came here to learn about Extasis, so that’s what we’re going to do…though we’ll probably save that for another day. After all, it’s getting late here and ALPHA (the Agents of Law, Peace, and Homeland Assurance for you outlanders) has been getting more strict with curfews each day what with Exoneration Day approaching and everything else going on. Yes, we’ll pick this conversation up later.

Until next time this is Silvith Regas signing off.

A Strange New World

You stir from your slumber to a soft breeze blowing over your face. As your eyes flutter open you see the clear night sky overhead. City lights make it difficult to see the stars…but you definitely see the two moons floating lazily up above. Something’s not right. This isn’t Earth. You look around frantically until you see a sign in the distance. Macul, it reads. The City of Lights is written out beneath the city’s name. This is weird, you think, but as long as there’s a city around you may be able to find the answers that you seek. As you approach, a man excitedly runs toward you. He looks like a journalist. Perhaps you ought to speak with him…
